Our Staff
Liz
is the owner and Director of Dolphin Daycare, opened in
February of 1998. Prior to opening Dolphin Daycare, Liz lived
in Washington for 8 years and was a Social Worker for Head Start.
Her social worker background coupled with her love of children and
family dynamics made her decision to open a daycare easy! She has worked with children for
30 years in a variety of
capacities.
Liz has two children of her own.
Becky
has been employed at Dolphin Daycare since the opening in 1998. Along with being the Lead Infant/Toddler
teacher, she is the Assistant Director and Billing Manager. She is
Director Certified, Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler and Lead Teacher
Preschool Certified as well.
Becky attended Wheelock College in Boston where she earned her
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She discovered her
passion for working with infants in 1995, during an internship at a
child care center in Boston. She has been directly working with
infants ever since.
Chris
is an Infant/Toddler Teacher and has worked at Dolphin Daycare since
2000 in
the Infant/Toddler Program. Chris previously worked with special needs
children. Chris is also a Massage Therapist and a Reiki Master. Chris has three children.
Sam
has been with dolphin Daycare since September 2008. She started in the
Sea Horse room and now is in the infant classroom. She is currently
pursuing her Infant/Toddler certification through Penn Foster online.
Sam has one son.
Amy
has been employed at Dolphin Daycare for since 2004 and has worked in our
Infant/Toddler and Preschool Classrooms. She is Infant/Toddler and
Preschool Teacher certified. Amy is currently pursuing a career in
nursing at Greenfield Community College. Amy has one daughter.
Look
who's Back! Melanie returns to teach in the Tidal Waves room after her
far too long hiatus. Melanie has worked with toddlers for over five
years, and possesses a soft and gentle love of children that all who
work with her can recognize. Melanie is Infant/Toddler and Preschool
certified. We are very happy to welcome Melanie back into the Dolphin
Daycare family.
Jen
has worked in the Tidal Waves over a year. She is an avid animal lover
and will occasionally bring in fun friends to visit her class. She is
also an enthusiastic teacher of young children. Jen's combination of
patience and sense of humor giver her the ability to bring a sense of
fun to any classroom she is in. She is currently pursuing her
Infant/Toddler Teacher certification through Penn Foster online.
Rachel
has returned to Dolphin Daycare in the Tidal Waves room after taking the
past year off. Prior to her leaving she had been with us 5 years. While
Rachel has been away she had a baby who is now enrolled in our Infant
room. Rachel is Infant, Toddler and Preschool certified.
Every
now and then Smith Vocational sends us a student that is so exceptional
that we just can't let them go! Abby is one such example. A natural with
the kids and a fast learner, Abby brings her experience as a bus monitor
for Universal Kids into the Infant/Toddler program. Her youth and fun
spirit have made her a favorite of many of the children.
Krystal
has worked at Dolphin Daycare since May of 2007. She graduated from
Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School. She is currently
attending the Health Technology Program and also has her CNA and
babysitters license. To make things even more interesting Krystal has
also been working at Universal Kids since October of 2007 and has
interned in numerous childcare facilities, including Dolphin Daycare.
She has worked in each of the classrooms at the daycare and is currently
teaching in the Sea Lions classroom.
Randall
has been a certified Preschool Teacher at Dolphin Daycare since
November 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Hartford and
Hartford Art School for Sculpture where he attended from 1998-2002.
Prior to working at Dolphin Daycare, Randall was a Preschool Teacher
at All About Learning for 3 years. Randall currently teaches in the
Sea Turtles Room. Randall has one daughter.
Emily
joined us in the Starfish room in September. She is Lead Teacher
and Preschool Teacher
Certified. She has thirteen years experience
working with preschoolers and kindergarteners. A mother of two,
Emily's experience with children will be the backdrop for an
exciting and educational time in the Starfish Classroom.
